Crafting for Change in Our Community
Every dollar we spend goes somewhere. When we spend it within our communities (whether a geographic community or a values- or experience-based one), that dollar circulates back and helps our community thrive, grow, and support each other. When we spend it buying from profit-focused businesses that take more out of our communities than they put back in, we unknowingly contribute to a continual siphoning away of the value that forms the lifeblood of every community. Without value flowing through our community, it becomes enemic and weakens over time.
We can stem this flow of value by strategically using buying moments where we have more choice- gifting. Gifting is a perfect opportunity to infuse value back into our communities and share what we value with others.
